Standing Bodhisattva

| The Bodhisattva wears a headdress upon a slightly inclined head, behind which rises a petal-shaped nimbus decorated with incised petals and flames. The slim figure wears an inner garment covered by a long outer robe, and a string bead ornament that extends from the shoulders to the knees. The right hand hangs downward, while the left hand is damaged. The Bodhisattva stands on a lotus pedestal attended by smaller figures on either side, believed added later. The square four-legged stand is inscribed with a dated dedication. |
