Vajra

KOREA; Goryeo dynasty (918–1392); Bronze; L: 22 cm; National Museum of Korea, Seoul, South Korea
This Vajrayana Buddhist Dharma instrument consists of a handle in the middle and a vajra at both ends. The handle has a raised circular band in the center, with a Sumeru-shape lotus on either side. Three bands wrap around the concave sections of the handle, and each end features four outer prongs curving inwards around a straight central prong, forming a five-prong vajra.
