Vessel

KOREA; Goryeo dynasty (918–1392); Stoneware; H: 36.7 cm; National Museum of Korea, Seoul, South Korea
The vessel stands on a low base with a key design. The body curves upward to form gently sloping shoulders, and is inlaid with rows of black and white peony and chrysanthemum patterns. There is a floral design at the base of the neck, which is long and narrow. Near the mouth of the vessel, there is a small ring. Although the neck is longer than the body, the vessel appears well-balanced and is aesthetically pleasing.
