Sakyamuni and Prabhutaratna Buddhas

| The two Buddhas stand side by side upon circular pedestals that rest on a four-legged platform. Each Buddha has a nimbus of concentric circles, while the petal-shaped mandorlas enclosing their bodies share a common flame-patterned outer border. The Buddhas' right hands are both in the abhaya (fearlessness) mudra and the left hands are most likely in the varada (wish-granting) mudra. Their monastic robes are sculpted in dense folds and draped over both shoulders. |
