This hexagonal five-tier pagoda is surrounded by a plain balustrade. There are six arched doorways on the first to fourth tiers, while on the fifth tier, there are six oval windows. The eaves turn up at the corners in an exaggerated fashion resulting in a wave-like effect. On the uppermost tier, the corners of the roof are in the form of a bird, which is an unusual feature. The spire consists of an inverted bowl followed by a jewel.
This simple work of Buddhist art is well-preserved and quite unique. |
