Maijishan Grotto 123: Vimalakirti

This statue of a seated Vimalakirti is located on the right wall and sits opposite a statue of Manjusri Bodhisattva. Vimalakirti holds his right hand to the chest as the left hand rests on the leg. The youthful face appears confident, wise, and kind. The connection between the torso and head, which was carved separately, has deteriorated over time.
