| This work, which features a combination of embroidery, painting, and calligraphy, depicts Bodhidharma as an Indian monk with curved eyebrows, large eyes, a prominent nose, and full beard. He stares steadily into the distance with a determined look. He wears an inner robe, and a long flowing yellow hooded outer robe, within which his hands are hidden in the long sleeves. He is shown crossing the roaring river wearing sandals made of reed. |
