This sculpture depicts an Arhat seated with legs crossed and hands in the lap, holding a sutra. The figure's face is realistically portrayed with half-closed eyes, a prominent nose and a down-turned mouth, giving an impression of intense meditative concentration. The figure wears a monastic robe with crossed collars, ample sleeves, and realistically portrayed folds.
