Vinh Khanh Temple Binh Son Pagoda
VIETNAM, Vinh Phuc, Lap Thach |
Binh Son means Flat Mountain and the pagoda is located within Vinh Khanh (Forever Celebrated) Temple. Although the temple was built during the Ly dynasty (1009-1225), there are no records of the construction of the pagoda. It underwent large-scale restoration in 1973.
The 11-story square pagoda is made of brick and is hollow. It is 15 m high and stands on an undecorated square base platform. The exterior is covered with images of dragons, phoenixes, lotuses, chrysanthemum, and other decorative elements. |
