A calligraphic work of Master Hongyi, written for the accruement of merits to dedicate to his late mother, the manuscript begins with the invocation Namo Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva" in Chinese characters with broad strokes. This calling is followed by the verses of the Sutra of the Ten Wheels of Ksitigarbha in smaller characters. The sutra verse is a hymn that narrates the wondrous merits of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva
