Seokguram Grotto: Seated Bodhisattva

Located in a niche behind Sakyamuni Buddha in the main chamber, this Bodhisattva sits on a lotus throne with the head tilted to the side and the hair adorned with ornaments. The right arm supports the body on the lotus throne, while the head rests upon the left hand. Backed by a nimbus and aureole, the Bodhisattva is adorned with jewelry and wears a stole that hangs across the chest. |
