Um Chiwook

SOUTH KOREA, Gangwon, Yeongwol; Joseon dynasty (1392–1910)
Um Chiwook was also known by the names of Gyeongji or Gwanho. He was a well-known landscape painter of the late Joseon dynasty (1392-1910). His distinct style of painting tree branches and his use of ink were greatly influenced by the artist Jeong Seon and widely acclaimed during his time.
  Um's works include Wonderful and Auspicious and Jukseoru Pavilion, both of which are kept at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul. His painting of Baekaksan Mountain is kept at the Gansong Art Museum in Seoul.
