Maijishan Grotto 123: Female Attendant

This statue, located to the left outside the niche on the left wall of the grotto, depicts a female attendant. The hair on the figure’s head coils into double buns. The long neck is damaged, and the inner garment has a thick round collar. Dressed in a long draping robe with a wide collar, the young figure places her left hand on the sash that is tied at the abdomen. The right hand hangs naturally to the side. Parts of the robe retain the original red and black paint.
