Iksan: Plaque with Seated Buddha

This gold Buddha is depicted seated in full lotus position on a lotus throne and has a canopy above his head. He has curled hair, large downcast eyes, a broad nose, and a small mouth. An outer robe covers both shoulders and an inner robe crosses the chest. The Buddha's left hand rests on his knee, while his right hand is in the bhumisparsa (earth-touching) mudra. The background is decorated with reliefs of floral and scroll leaf pattern, which are surrounded by flames.
