Mogao Caves: Head of a Bodhisattva

The sculpture was originally from the Mogao Caves. The Bodhisattva’s sharply braided hair is built into a topknot. The rounded face is delineated by arched eyebrows, a high, straight nose, and a slight smile. Traces of the original coloring still remain. |
