Qingshan Temple Pagoda: Reliquary Vessel

This reliquary vessel was recovered from the underground palace of Qingshan Temple Pagoda in 1985. It was found wrapped in brocade within a gold sarcophagus and contained the sacred relics of an unidentified Buddhist spiritual master.
  The green glass vessel has a spherical body and a neck that is short and narrow. The vessel has a thin wall, measuring only 1 mm thick. There is no decoration on the surface, but there are signs of gilding. The vessel is supported by gilt copper alloy double lotus.
