Reliquary Pagodas

This three-tier reliquary pagoda measures 13.7 cm high and was created mainly using forging and welding techniques. Each tier, as well as the roof, can be separated. There are figures engraved on the exterior of each tier: the first features heavenly beings, the second has seated Buddhas, and the third has seated Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara Bodhisattvas. The roof has cylindrical tiles and the eaves consist of brick corbeling. A round harmika, an inverted bowl, stacked rings, and a finial comprise the spire. There is a small gold pagoda, 2.7 cm high, enshrined inside the pagoda. |
