Phuoc Hoa Temple

VIETNAM, Ho Chi Minh City
Phuoc Hoa means Blessings and Harmony. The year of construction is unknown; however, it was renovated in 1958, resulting in its present appearance. The temple functions as the office of the South Vietnam Association of Buddhist Studies.
The principal buildings are the temple gate and main hall. The temple gate has a hip-and-gable roof. The main hall houses statues of Sakyamuni Buddha, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and Thousand-Armed, Thousand-Eyed Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, each of which was designed and carved between 1960 and 1962.
