Buddha Triad

The triad features a central Buddha with his right hand raised in abhaya (fearlessness) mudra and the left steadying his robes as they fall down and flare out beyond the pedestal on which he stands. On each side, there is an attendant Bodhisattva with hands in the anjali (reverence) mudra. Their robes fall in a similar fashion. The lotus pedestal beneath provides support to the whole sculpture, which is unified within a mandorla incised with flames.
