Dong Mengmei (1927-present)

Dong Mengmei, also known as Shan Tao, is a painter who was born in Gomi, Weifang in China but later moved to Taiwan to work as a teacher and as a specialist in the Government Information Office. In his paintings, he uses fine and delicate strokes to portray figures that appear supernatural. His creative ideas originate from his in-depth understanding of Buddhist teachings of the mind, as well as the Confucian teachings of moral and intellectual enrichment. Dong's ideal is to create paintings that are lively but not realistic." In 1982
