Seated Buddha

The sculpture is believed to have been discovered at Longxing Temple in Hebei, China. The sculpture is well-proportioned but the extremities are damaged. The figure has an elongated head with a smooth usnisa and the three lines are visible on the neck. The Buddha sits cross-legged wearing a monastic robe over the left shoulder with an inner robe beneath. The right arm hangs naturally to meet the leg, while the left arm is held in front of the chest.
