Song Qi (1878-1943)

CHINA, Shanxi, Shuozhou; Qing dynasty (1644–1911)
Song Qi, formerly known as Song Shou and also known as Zhi Shan, was a seal engraver. Born in Shanyin, Shouzhou, he served as an official in Chenghai, Guangdong where he received a tribute title of the fifth degree.
  Since young, Song learned the arts of poetry, painting, calligraphy, and seal engraving. His seal engraving style is considered elegant and sophisticated. After retiring from his official career, he focused on creating seals. Song's Buddhist engraving works include No Lying, a white-character square seal.
