Horyuji Temple: Bowl with Lid

This bowl was made in the 8th century and was used as an offering instrument in Horyuji Temple. It was listed as an Important Cultural Property in 1958.
　 The undecorated copper alloy bowl is 19.3 cm in diameter and 23.2 cm high. The bowl and lid form a spheroid, with a broad shoulder and a slightly narrower base. At the top, there is a short pillar which supports an ovoid knob followed by a short, thin pillar and jewel.
