Maijishan Grotto 142: Cross-Ankled Bodhisattva

This statue of a crossed-ankled Bodhisattva is located on the left wall. Behind the Bodhisattva is a mandorla with a flame pattern. The Bodhisattva has a high topknot and is richly adorned with jewelry. The figure wears a flowing robe that extends to the ground. |
