Thousand Buddha Temple

PHILIPPINES, Metro Manila, Quezon City
The temple was established in 1977 by monks Guangchun and Guangxue. The temple established a charity service and a clinic between 1992 and 1994, and founded the Philippine Buddhacare Academy in 1997.
The principal structures include the main temple gate, Great Hero Hall, Avalokitesvara Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, Arhat Hall, bell and drum towers, and Longevity Pagoda. The two-story main building has a double-eave hip-and-gable roof. The lower story contains the Arhat Hall, while the upper story houses the Great Hero Hall. A statue of Sakyamuni Buddha surrounded by 1,000 figures of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva are enshrined in the hall. The bell and drum towers stand on either side of the main building. A three-story building next to the main building was built in 1988. It contains the memorial hall on the first story, the Avalokitesvara Hall on the second story, and monastic living quarters on the third story. The Longevity Pagoda, built in 1989, contains a statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva flanked by 6,000 miniature seated Buddhas.
