Manboksa Temple: Standing Buddha

eo dynasty temple, and is thought to date from the reign of King Munjong (reigned 1047–1082). It was listed as Treasure No. 43 in 1963.
　 The statue is worn and damaged and the portion below the thighs remains buried. Both shoulders of the Buddha are covered by the monastic robe, the folds of which divide over the legs. The elaborate mandorla has Buddha images carved in relief among the flames of the outer edge. It encloses a foliated aureole and a radiating nimbus that gives way to a decorated rim.
