Mogao Caves: Head of a Bodhisattva

This head originates in the Mogao Caves. The mounded hair is parted in the center and tied with a fillet. The face is broad and smiling, and the gaze is direct. In contrast to the other strongly modeled features, the eyebrows are simply depicted with curved lines. |
