Han Deng'an (1905-1976)

Han Deng'an, originally named Han Jing and also known as Wudai Jushi, was a seal engraver and calligrapher. He was skilled in producing works in both seal and clerical script. He learned seal carving from Wang Ti and also adopted the ancient styles of the Qin (220-207 BCE) and Han (206 BCE-220 CE) dynasties. His seal carvings vary widely in range, but they are considered elegant and well-crafted pieces. His Buddhist seals include Avatamsaka Sutra Pagoda, a red-character square seal.
