This statue of Master Sengqie, the Great Sage of Sizhou, is found on the back (east) wall of the cave. Master Sengqie has a full, round face. He wears monastic robes, and his head is covered with a cloth. The figure sits in full lotus position on a high platform with his arms resting on a three-legged table in front of him. The sculpture shows a simple and smooth yet realistic style. |
