Recovered from Wat Ratburana in Ayutthaya in 1957, this bracelet was created during the Ayutthaya Kingdom (circa 1350-1767) and was used for making offerings. It is made of gold and has a diameter of 8.4 cm with a width of 5.5 cm. The main features are ten-petal flowers embedded with gemstones in green, yellow, and black. The centers of the flowers consist of large gemstones bordered by a bead pattern.
The bracelet is edged with lotus petals containing gemstones. The beads, lotus petals, and centers of the flowers were formed individually and then welded together. |
