Mati Temple Thousand Buddha Grottoes: Stupa

This Tibetan-style stupa is among numerous carvings on the cliff face at the Thousand Buddha Grottoes. The inverted bowl stupa consists of a body, harmika, and a spire. The cylindrical body of the stupa contains a doorway at the front. Above the body is the square harmika with multiple corners. The spire is large and comprises thirteen stacked rings, a canopy, a jewel, a moon, and a sun.
