Jinta Temple West Cave: Standing Bodhisattva

The Bodhisattva is located in the lower level niche on the west side of the central pillar. With the Buddha at the center, the Bodhisattva stands on the left, while Guhyapadavajra is on the right.
The well-proportioned Bodhisattva figure stands barefoot wearing a long, flowing stole that drapes downward from the shoulders. A circular nimbus is seen behind the head, which has hair arranged into a headdress. The face is round with thin eyebrows and a small mouth. A long dhoti tied with a sash covers the lower body of the Bodhisattva, and multiple necklaces full of jewels lie across the front of the chest. The forearms below the elbows have been damaged, but the upper arms are intact and adorned with decorative armlets. |
