Vajra

This Vajrayana Buddhist Dharma instrument from the 13th century is one of five vajras used during a Dharma service.
　 Made of gilt copper alloy, the handle and flaming jewels of this vajra were cast together. The tops of the jewels were painted in white and their bodies were painted in scarlet, green, black, and brown, however, the colors have faded over time. The handle consists of two sets of eight-petal lotuses in Sumeru form, separated by a bead pattern.
